Who We Are
Bolton Sign is a small, but perfectly-formed, family owned business and as the name suggests, we are based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Our team is made up of 25 staff who have 300 years of combined experience in the various trades and skills needed to manufacture and install signage.
Our four time-served metal fabricators learned their trade in the aerospace industry and have over 100 years combined experience in architectural metalwork, fabrication and welding. So if you need an airplane wing building, look no further!
The rest of the team is made up of our Project Managers, LED Technicians, Paint-Spraying Specialists, Graphic Designers, CNC Router Operators, Vinyl & Graphics Technicians, Marketing & Administration support staff and our highly trained Installation crew. Of course, we can't forget Gus; Office Dog and Chief Crumb-Collector!
Bolton Sign is so much more than just a signage company.
We are best known for our competence and proficiency in manufacturing and installing signage solutions for the high-end fashion and retail market, but our skills are by no means limited to traditional signage products.
For example, did you know that we fabricated and installed a large water feature for a town council in the Midlands? Did you also know that we painted, added vinyls and lacquered a number of removeable wall panels for Jaguar LandRover's exhibition stand at the LA Motor Show?
In addition to these non-signage products, we have also completed a variety of interior and exterior design projects featuring rare woods, Scandinavian preserved moss, encapsulated resins and solid surface materials such as Corian®.
More recently, we've started developing our skills in the manufacture of products for architectural lighting projects, where metal fabrication and LED technology are brought together to create striking and structurally sound interior design features.
Examples of our architectural lighting capabilities can be found in select Karen Millen stores across the UK and Europe, with other lighting installations appearing in shopping centres, boardrooms and leisure facilities.
